Jóna Holm Kristoffersen
Jóna Holm Kristoffersen (1997) is a fine art photographer.
She expresses her art through self-portraits, showcasing a personal and deeply rooted exploration of emotional themes. And by using her own face and body as a medium she establishes a connection between the inner and the outer.
The self-portraits are combined with natural elements which enhances the emotional undertones that are difficult to express in words by integrating elements of nature such as leaves, water and clouds. It creates a symbolic connection to emotions that transcend linguistic boundaries.
Jóna creates her work with a combination of digital photography and analog techniques. It creates a synthesis between modern technology and traditional methods.
The digital aspect provides flexibility and precision, while analog adds a unique authenticity and texture to the works. Double exposure between the two intensifies the fusion by creating layers of complexity and symbolism, resulting in a visual layered expression.
